Mother of pearl frame is delicately carved and silvered and painted with flower borders. The had of rivet is green strass.
On recto paper leaf is painted with portrait of pensive maiden standing by the riverbank, on her left among the trees young man playing the flute. The scene is richly decorated with golden flower border. On verso cream leather leaf is painted with light gold floral sprays to the reserves and borders, shows a maiden with her dog and a goat and a lady in regency dress.
