Brise fan “The rescue of a baby Moses from the Nile river”

Ivory brise fan painted on the recto with a colorful depiction of Moses, having been hidden in the bulrushes by his mother, being discovered and adopted by the Pharaons daughter when she and her attendants were taking a leisurely stroll, their grand residence in the background. The gorge is painted with an image of noble lady. On the verso side of the fan depicts an emotional scene by the river: a pair of lovers in the center hurry into each others arms. The girl on the right is calmly catching fish. The gorge is painted with the same scene by the river and Chinese porcelain.
