Ivory Brise fan

Ivory brise fan painted to the recto with a colorful depiction of Moses, having been hidden in the bulrushes by his mother, being discovered and adopted by the Pharaon`s daughter when she and her attendants were taking a leisurely stroll, their grand residence in the background. The gorge is painted with an image of wealthy lady. On the verso, on the banks of a river where one maiden is seen fishing, a pair of lovers in XVIII century dress rush to their assignation. The gorge is painted with the same scene on a river and Chinese porcelain.
