Rare historical fan with engraved and heightened silk palmettes, celebrating the meeting of two emperors: Napoleon III, emperor of France and Alexander II, emperor of Russia. Around them, the empress Eugenie, empress Maria Aleksandrovna and their entourage. On the background situated the central pavilion of the Tuileries Palace, the imperial residence. The Tsar of Russia visited Paris in 1867 for the Universal Exhibition.
