The leaf is made of beige needlepoint lace; the density and quality of the embroidery suggest it originates from the French town of Alencon.
Frame is made of light-coloured “blonde” tortoiseshell. One guard stick bears a silver monogram. Whilst the other is engraved with the name of the fan maker: Ed Creussy Paris.
