On the front of the mesh leaf is a silk applique depicting six flying butterflies and a yellow flower on the right, with the artist’s signature: E. Daudet.
On the reverse side is the signature of the Parisian fan house Duvelleroy.
The frame is made of horn, inlaid with polished metal rings.
