On the front side of the leaf, a landscape depicts Japanese people, residents of the city, chatting with each other. Signed by the artist on the left: Drawn by Itie Ryusui Kunihisa. Japanese master of ukiye-e prints, better known as Utagawa Kunihisa II (1832-1891). The reverse side depicts flowers, insects and Japanese cranes.
Images of black realistic flies are mounted on the guard sticks.
