Leaf: combination of handmade Brussels needle lace and three leather medallions with painting.
The frame is made of light-coloured "blonde" tortoise shell. The guard stick has traces of a dismantled monogram.
The centre medallion depicts Cupid launching an arrow at kissing doves. The left medallion depicts a girl with lilac flowers. The right medallion depicts two Cupids picking lilacs. Signed on the right: M. Dumas. The reverse side in all medallions depicts a landscape. The name of the famous Parisian fan house is engraved on the left side of the guard stick: Duvelleroy.
