The front of the leaf depicts genre scenes set in the countryside. In the left-hand corner, a mother and her daughter are gathering shellfish into baskets; slightly above them, children are fishing with a net. In the centre on the leaf is a young couple in love: a fisherman and a spinner; on the right is a family: parents playing with their little daughter. A little further away, a group of people are relaxing on the lawn; in the right-hand corner, a girl is feeding hens and chicks whilst a dog stands guard over them. All these scenes can be interpreted as wedding blessings.
